Carnivore Diet: How It Works

He emphasizes that humans are natural carnivores and thrive on a diet consisting exclusively of animal-based foods.Dr. Chaffee believes the optimal carnivore diet includes:

- Meat: Prioritize fatty cuts from ruminant animals like beef, lamb, goat, and venison, as they provide essential nutrients and healthy fats.
- Eggs: Consume eggs if well-tolerated, focusing on the yolks, which are nutrient-dense.
- Salt and Water: Season food to taste with salt and hydrate with water; additional supplements are unnecessary unless you have known nutrient deficiencies.

Dr. Chaffee advises against consuming all plant-based foods, sugars, artificial sweeteners, and anything artificial, as these are causing our modern health issues.
